The petitioner which is a Minority Institute, is awaiting decision of the Respondent No.2/Education Officer for grant of approval to the appointment made to the post of Head Master. The proposal (Exhibit-E) is pending with the Respondent No.2/Education Officer since 03.09.2024.

In the normal course, we would not have entertained this writ petition soliciting a mandamus against the Education Officer within such a short time after the proposal was submitted. However considering the fact that the salary bills will have to be processed under his signature, we are entertaining the petition and disposing it of by directing respondent no2/Education Officer to take appropriate decision on its own merits on the proposal received from the petitioner/Institute (Exhibit-E), as expeditiously as possible.
