In view of a fatality due to an electric shock, that occurred in the house of the Petitioner, led to the filing of a representation by her, before the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, seeking compensation in terms of the administrative circulars No.192 dated 20.11.2008, 332 dated 22.03.2011 and 533 dated 09.03.2016. The said application is pending.

Since an innocuous prayer is put forth seeking a direction to the Company to deal with the representation, that this Writ Petition is disposed off.

We direct the Respondent Nos. 4 and 5 Company, to deal with the representation of the Petitioner dated 31.01.2019, within a period of 60 days, by following the due procedure laid down in law. If the Petitioner's grievance is not redressed, she would be at liberty to avail of a statutory remedy for quantifying the compensation amount and for deciding the rights of the parties, before an appropriate forum.
