The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the award is passed in the year 2018. In the award, the name of the petitioner is wrongly mentioned as Janabai Sakharam. The same ought to be Janabai Manohar. The petitioner on 25.02.2019 has given an application for correction of the name in the award. The same is not considered and decided as yet. The amount of compensation as per the award is also not paid to the petitioner.

We have also heard the learned A.G.P. for respondent Nos. 1 and 2.

The acquiring body though served is absent.

At the first instance, the application of the petitioner for correction of the name in the award will have to be decided and thereafter the payment of amount of compensation in favour of the petitioner would arrives.

The petitioner has already given application on 25.02.2019. The authority shall decide the application filed by the petitioner for correction of her name in the award (page no. 43) on its own merits, expeditiously and preferably within a period of two (02) months from today. The learned A.G.P. shall communicate the same to the authority. 6.

In case, the award is corrected and the name of the petitioner is included in the award and if the award is in force and there is no other objection, then the payment of compensation may be made to the petitioner within a period of six (06) months from the date of correction if arrived at.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
