1] Learned AGP informs that as a result of pendency of the instant petition, the proceedings before the scrutiny committee are stalled.
2] The petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to the scrutiny committee to take decision on the enquiry
2 in respect of caste validation claim of respondent no.3. 3] It would be open for the scrutiny committee to deal with the matter before it in accordance with provisions of law and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from today and it is accordingly directed.
4] Writ Petition No.9995/2014 is disposed of. Pending civil applications, if any, do not survive and hence stand disposed of.
5] The petitioner was directed to deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/ in this Court while directing issuance of notice. In pursuance to the directions, the petitioner has deposited the aforesaid sum on 15.12.2014. The petitioner is objecting to the caste certificate issued in favour of his own daughterinlaw. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the amount deposited by the petitioner shall stand forfeited. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.3 states that he is not interested in claiming recovery of costs and the amount deposited may be directed to be transferred to the account of the High Court Bar Association Library at Aurangabad. Considering the
3 contentions, the amount deposited by the petitioner in this Court shall be transferred to the account of High Court Bar Association Library at Aurangabad.
