The application for issuance of caste certificate is rejected on the ground that documents prior to 1961 are not produced. 2.

Time and again, we are passing orders that the application for issuance of caste certificate has to be decided on the basis of documents produced before it. The petitioner had produced the documents. Those documents are not even referred to and only on the ground that document prior to 1961 are not produced, the application is rejected.

In view of the above, the impugned order is set aside. The Sub Divisional Officer, Chalisgaon shall consider whatever

2 wp 11403.17 documents filed before it and take decision on the basis of those documents on its own merits. The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
