Learned Assistant Government Pleader, appearing for Respondent No.2- Scrutiny Committee, on instructions, states that the caste certificate verification claim in respect of the petitioner would be dealt with and an appropriate order will be passed within a period of four months from today.

In view of the statement made, Respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee is directed to decide the verification claim in respect of tribe certificate of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months from today. The petitioner, who is occupying the office of a Member of the Village Panchayat, has been served with a notice by the Collector

{2} wp980116.odt under Section 10(1)(A) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1958. In view of the order passed by the Division Bench of this Court in an identical matter i.e. Writ Petition No.3963 of 2013, we direct the respondents not to take coercive action against the petitioner till disposal of the caste certificate verification claim pending with the Scrutiny Committee.

With the directions as above, writ petition stands disposed of.
