This writ petition is filed with following prayer :- "B) To direct the respondent no.2 to consider and decide the petitioner's application/appeal dated 26.03.2009 for issuing appointment order on a post of Extension Officer (Education) under the district services of Zilla Parishad, Ahmednagar on its own merits within one month by giving the petitioner an opportunity of hearing, by issuing a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, as the case may be."

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the appeal is not decided by respondent No.2. We are surprised to note that the application/appeal has been filed on 26.03.2009 and the same has not yet been decided. In the circumstances, we direct respondent No.2 to decide the said

( 2 ) wp10867.10 application/appeal dated 26.03.2009, if already not decided, as expeditiously as possible, however, on or before 05.05.2018, on its own merits and communicate said decision to the petitioner. Needless to observe that the petitioner shall extend full co-operation for decision of said application/appeal. In-case, respondent No.2 wishes to hear the petitioner before taking decision, respondent No.2 will be at liberty to do so.

With the above observations, the application stands disposed of.
