Admittedly, the petitioner has tendered application seeking deletion of names of certain

(Order) (2) W.P. No. 11578 of 2017 voters from the voters' list prepared for the purpose of holding elections to Village Panchayat, Pimpalgaon, Taluka Naigaon, District Nanded, after the cut off date prescribed for inclusion or exclusion of voters in voters' list. Application has also not been tendered in the prescribed form under the Electoral Registration Rules. In this view of the matter, grievance raised by the petitioner, in the instant petition, in respect of recording of names of ineligible voters does not deserve to be considered. Apart from this, the process of election has already been set in motion. In view of the provisions of Article 243-O of the Constitution of India, no interference is called for in the ongoing process of election.

Keeping option of the petitioner open to avail of the remedies as would be available in law, at appropriate stage, the writ petition stands rejected.
