It appears that the learned Minister had granted interim stay to the judgment and order dated 30.5.2025 passed by the learned Divisional Commissioner removing present respondent No. 8 from the post of Sarpanch under section 39(1) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act. However, final hearing of the appeal is not concluded within one month thereafter. The provision of section 39(1) of the above Act provides one month period for conducting the appeal.

Since the statutory period is already over, the concerned authority is directed to decide the appeal expeditiously and in any event within one month from today.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 5.
