The Petitioners' land situated at Devibabhulgaon in District Beed is taken in possession by Respondent No.4 - Acquiring Body on 06/04/2003. The District Collector, Beed vide Communication dated 24/02/2022 has forwarded the proposal to Respondent No.3 - Land Acquisition Offcer [LAO] to take steps as per the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 [hereinafter referred to as 'the Act of 2013'].

According to the learned Advocate for the Petitioners, there is no progress in the said proposal as contemplated under the Act of 2013. Hence, he prays for necessary direction.

The learned AGP appears for Respondent Nos.1 to 4. He submits that, necessary order be passed.

Since limited grievance is raised before us to direct the concerned authority to take appropriate steps on the aforesaid proposal forwarded by the District Collector to Respondent No.3 - LAO, we direct the Respondent No.3 to take initiate the steps in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 2013, within a period of six [6] months from the receipts of this order. 5.
