Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the proceeding in respect of validation of caste claim of the petitioner is pending with respondent No.4 Committee since March, 2014. The petitioner has been given admission to the Engineering Course of three years with respondent No.3. However, on the ground that validity certificate is not obtained, result of 3rd and 4th Semester of 2nd Year Mechanical Engineering examination of the petitioner is withheld.

We have Mr. Bolkar, learned counsel for the respondent University and learned AGP for the State. 3.

Considering the fact that the validation proceeding in respect of caste claim of the petitioner 1/2

979.odt is pending, we pass following order:

O R D E R

(1) The respondent University shall not withhold the result of the petitioner of 3rd and 4th Semester of 2nd Year Mechanical Engineering examination only on the ground that validation proceeding in respect of the caste claim of the petitioner is pending, so also, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible, examination form of the petitioner shall not be refused to be accepted only on the ground that the validation proceeding is pending.

(2) Respondent No.4 Committee shall endeavour to decide the validation proceeding in respect of caste claim of the petitioner as belonging to Rajput Bhamta, expeditiously, preferably within a period of nine months from today.

Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
