An award under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, was passed on 25.03.2019. The Petitioner approached the concerned authorities under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 on 29.04.2019. After receipt of the said proceedings, the Sub Divisional Officer-cum-Land Acquisition Officer, Kannad, issued a notice of hearing on 06.01.2020 to the Petitioner, acknowledging the receipt of the application under Section 28A on 29.04.2019. The proceedings have not progressed thereafter.

The learned AGP submits that the proceedings will be concluded within a reasonable time period.
