The petitioner seeks parole on account of his mother scheduled to undergo a knee operation on 14th September, 2023. Learned A.P.P. has strong reservation to grant the petition on the ground that there is no provision for grant of parole on such ground. He also submits that period of one and half year has not yet passed since the petitioner's last release. 3.

We have considered the submissions advanced. The documents on record indicate the petitioner's mother is scheduled to undergo a knee operation on 14th September, 2023. The petitioner's father is undergoing 1 / 2

1065-WP-1377-23.odt sentence in a jail at Kolhapur. Learned counsel for the petitioner makes a statement that petitioner's father will not seek parole on the very ground. 4.

Since during operation of the mother her son, the petitioner needs to be around, we direct the authorities concerned to release the petitioner on parole of twenty (20) days.
