Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the land of the petitioners was taken in possession by the respondents before issuance of Notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioners are entitled for rental compensation. The

2 WP 2321/2017 petitioners have filed the application before the concerned authority seeking rental compensation. 2.

In case the application for rental compensaion is pending with the authority then the competent authority shall decide the application of the petitioners for grant of rental compensation on its own merits in accordance with Law, expeditiously and preferably within eight months from today. 3.

In view of above, Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
