The learned A.G.P., on instructions, submits that the amount is still lying with the Municipal Council. It is submitted that after the order is passed by this Court in the earlier writ petition, the Municipal Council has passed a Resolution and has given approval on 09.09.2019, and the proposal is also forwarded to the Collector under the Vaishishtyapurna scheme. It has been communicated by the Collector to the learned A.G.P. that after the proposal is received from the Municipal Council, the same would be forwarded to the Government for further decision.

According to the petitioner, the said proposal is already forwarded to the State Government.

The Municipal Council shall forward the proposal under the Vaishishtyapurna scheme to the Collector in the proper format. The Collector, thereafter, shall immediately forward it to the State Government.

In light of the above, the time granted by this Court in Writ Petition No. 8648 of 2016 under order dated 25.04.2019 is extended up to 31.03.2020.

Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
