The Petitioner's name figures in the TET Examination Result Scam, 2019. The criminal investigation is going on. On the basis of C-TET qualification, she was considered for being registered on the Pavitra Portal. Now the Zilla Parishad desirous to have a check on the character of the Petitioner and, therefore, certain reports from various police departments are sought for. 2.

In our view, if the employer desirous to select a candidate, it is within the domain of the employer to assess as to whether the character of the candidate is good and whether there are any criminal antecedents. This Court cannot injunct the employer from seeking police reports in order to take a decision on his selection and

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off. 4.

Needless to state, as and when the Zilla Parishad receives the reports from the police department and take a decision, the Petitioner will be at liberty to avail of the remedy, as may be permissible in law, if aggrieved by the decision of the Zilla Parishad.
