Mr. A. S. Bajaj, learned counsel for the applicants submits that the elections to the wakf board are directed to be held. He further submits that the elections has to be conducted as per the Wakf Act.

The division bench of this court has passed an order in Writ Petition No.11452 of 2017, dated 03.10.2022, wherein it is noticed that the elections are due and they are to be conducted. The division bench has also issued necessary directions that in the event, there is any difficulty, it would always be open for the petitioners to raise whatever objections they have to, to the subsequent change.
