The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in the year 2011 the petitioner has filed execution for executing the award passed under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act. The amount is not yet deposited by the respondent.

We have heard the learned A.G.P. also.

In case the appeal is not filed by the respondent against the order of which execution sought and if there is no stay to the award passed by the Court in a reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, then the executing Court shall proceed ahead with the 1/2

29.wp.9243.19.odt execution and endeavor to close the said execution expeditiously. The petitioner is also required to take effective steps for execution of the decree.

If effective steps are taken by the petitioner then the executing Court shall decide the said execution proceeding expeditiously, preferably within eight months from today. Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
