DATE: 20th March, 2018 PER COURT:- 1) The petitioner is objecting to inclusion of names of respondent Nos.4 and 5 as the members of the Accreditation Committee of the Maharashtra State Newspaper and Broadcasting Media Accreditation Committee. It is contended that the concerned respondents have criminal antecedents and as such they are not eligible to be members of Accreditation Committee.

2) Affidavit-in-reply has been presented on behalf of respondent Nos.1, 1-A, 2 and 3. A decision taken by the Director (Information) on 9.9.2015 is the part of the reply tendered by the

{2} 2 - WP 819 of 2016 aforesaid respondents. It is recorded in the communication dated 9.9.2015 issued by the Director (Information) that the name of one Mr.Chandrashekhar Govind Behere would be deleted and in his place Mr.Sharad Katkar would be inducted as a member of the Accreditation Committee.

3) The petitioner contends that he has no serious objection for maintaining the respondent No.5 as a member of the Accreditation Committee.

4) The grievance raised by the petitioner in the instant petition stands satisfied in view of the communication issued by the Director (Information) on 9.9.2015, which is annexed to the affidavit-inreply filed on behalf of the respondent Nos.1, 1-A, 2 and 3.

5) For the aforesaid reasons, writ petition is disposed of.

6) Necessary corrective action be taken expeditiously.
