This petition deserves dismissal at admission stage. The petitioner challenges order dated 16.07.2015 passed by respondent No.2-Caste Scrutiny Committee, Latur, rejecting petitioner's claim that he belongs to Scheduled Caste. On the basis of such caste claim, the petitioner was elected as a Member of Village Panchayat about four years back. His opponent raised objection to his caste claim and the parties then went to respondent No.2 for scrutiny. The Committee noticed the petitioner to remain present before them with all relevant documents in support of his claim. On six occasions the petitioner did not remain present before the Committee. The Committee repeatedly called him, but invain. The Committee then examined the documents that were before them and came to a conclusion that the claim is not valid.

We perused the impugned order and found it to be well reasoned. We are, therefore, convinced that the petitioner was not serious about his caste claim when the same was before the committee. Therefore, we deem it fit not to entertain this petition. The writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
