The contention of the petitioner is that the land was acquired on 27.1.2002. The proposal was submitted on 20.4.2002. Due to introduction of Right to Fair Compensation, Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, the proposal lapsed. It is stated that a fresh proposal is now initiated on 13.08.2022, under the 2013 Act. Within a period around 50 days, the petitioner prays for issuance of writ of mandamus. 2.

The learned A.G.P. submits that the acquisition proceedings, pronouncement of the award etc. would be done in accordance with the time line prescribed under the 2013 Act.

Considering the above statement, this petition is disposed off. 4.

We expect, the authorities to follow the time line that is prescribed under the 2013 Act.
