The Petitioners have raised a grievance before the Deputy Director, Land Records vide their application dated 23.12.2019. The Department has received the application on 01.01.2020. The delay appears to be of 30 years. The Petitioners pray that the proceedings be decided within a time frame.

The learned AGP submits that the first issue to be dealt with is the enormous delay caused by the Petitioners. This is an original proceeding and cannot be completed hastily. khs/Sept.2023/11975

In view of the above, this Petition is disposed off expecting the Authority to complete the procedure within 180 days. We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion either on the delay aspect or other contentions of the parties, which are left open for consideration.
