CORAM : RAVINDRA V. GHUGE AND SANJAY A. DESHMUKH, JJ.

DATED : 16th NOVEMBER, 2022.

PER COURT :- 1.

The connected two matters, bearing writ petition Nos. 11377 of 2022 and 11378 of 2022, are not board. On request, taken on board. 2.

In all these matters, the identically placed petitioners claim to be bestowed with the Honour of being Adarsha Gram Sevak (Ideal Gram Sevak). Each of them are, therefore, entitled for advance increments, pursuant to the Government policy dated 10.11.1998. Our attention is drawn to page 17, which is an order dated 2.9.2014, passed by the Zilla Parishad, Beed, declaring the petitioners as Adarsh Gram Sevaks. We are also pointed out the Government Resolution dated 24.08.2017, by which the scheme of granting advance increments for such Adarsha Gram Sevaks has been discontinued. In several orders/judgments, delivered by this Court, this Government Resolution is held to be applicable prospectively. In view of the above, we are inclined to pass a similar order:

-33.

All these petitions are disposed off with a direction to respondent Nos. 3 and 4 to cause a verification exercise, up to 15.12.2022, in order to scrutinize each case of the petitioners and confirm that they have been granted Adarsha Gram Sevak award. All those, who are found to be conferred with this Honour, shall be paid their outstanding monetary benefits, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, on or before 31.01.2023.

4.

In the event of any petitioners, pursuant to the verification/scrutiny, being found to be ineligible, a reasoned order be passed and the said order be communicated to the concerned petitioner, on or before 15.01.2023.
