DATE :
27th NOVEMBER, 2024 ORDER :
In the present petition the petitioner contends that the respondent Grievance Committee has disobeyed the order passed by this Court on 30.08.2022 in Writ Petition No.2574 of 2017. Learned Advocate appearing for respondent points out the affidavit-in-reply of respondent, which was in fact filed pursuant to the order dated 13.11.2024. It was basically communicated that the complaint of the petitioner has been decided on 09.11.2024. However, the explanation was needed, as to why the
923_CP_858_2024 decision was not rendered within the time framed given by this Court. In the affidavit it is stated that due to the term of the Chairman of the Committee and the Management Council as well as Senate was over, the constitution of the Grievance Committee could not be completed. The committee was constituted by order dated 21.04.2023. Thereafter, after issuing notices, the claim has been decided. Respondent has tendered unconditional apology also. Therefore, taking into consideration the reason given in the affidavit there is no necessity to take any action under the Contempt of Courts Act. The petition, therefore, stands disposed of.
