Petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to respondents to revise the rates in respect of home delivery of gas cylinders in accordance with the policy prescribed by the Ministry of Petroleum on 26.04.2000. In reply to the contentions raised in the petition, in affidavit tendered by the State Government, it is averred in paragraph no. 7 thus :

7. With reference to para no. 10 of the Writ Petition, I say that, practically there cannot be any doubt regarding the increase in prices of diesel and transportation charges. This respondent no. 2 is also pursuing the respondent no. 1 to consider the matter and made reasonable increase in the transportation charges although 30% increase for each slot is rather exorbitant. However, the respondent no. 1 may increase the transportation charges in view of the norms as has been fixed earlier by order dated 11-2-2008 vide exh. 'B'.

In view of the above contentions recorded in the affidavit, the grievance raised by petitioner in the instant petition stands redressed. Writ petition stands disposed of.
