1] Though the petitioner has an alternative remedy of approaching the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, the petitioner is only pressing the relief of giving direction to decide her proposal. We are inclined to grant the said relief claimed by her. The petition is accordingly disposed of by directing the respondent nos.1 to 3 to consider and decide the petitioner's proposal for appointing her on Class-I post of Deputy Engineer

WP 20/17 - 2 - (Mechanical Division) in the establishment of respondent nos.1 and 2 from the women category and/or scheduled caste category on merits and in accordance with law and within a period of six weeks, if possible. All contentions of the parties are kept open.

2] Reserving the right of the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum, if adverse order is passed, the petition is disposed of. No costs.
