PER COURT :- Counsel for the State Election informs that, the villages, in respect of which the process of electing members of village Panchayat is undertaken, fall within the tribal area and as such, in terms of provisions of section 10(2)(b)- proviso, 50% of the seats shall have to be earmarked for reserved category and accordingly, the reservation has been prescribed to the extent, as specified in the aforesaid provision in favour of the scheduled tribe category.
