Heard. Mr. Dhorde, learned Senior Advocate for the petitioners submits that pursuant to the decision of the Apex Court the subject

2 wp 10977.18+ Environmental Science was made compulsory for 11th and 12th standards. The same was also sanctioned by the State. The said subject is also introduced in the curriculum and the petitioners are appointed on the said post. The learned senior Advocate further submits that the Deputy Director of Education has forwarded proposal to the Director of Education (Page No. 64 in Writ Petition No.10977 of 2018 and Page No.43 in Writ Petition No.10978 of 2018) and the management has also submitted the proposal to respondent no. 2 on 06.12.2017 (Page No. 88-A in Writ Petition No.10977 of 2018). However, no decision has been taken on it as yet.

The learned A.G.P. submits that in case the said proposal is pending with respondent No.2, then respondent No.2 will take decision upon it on its own merits.

In case the said proposal (Page No. 64 in Writ Petition No.10977 of 2018) is pending with

3 wp 10977.18+ respondent no. 2, then respondent no. 2 shall take decision upon it on its own merits, in accordance with law and policy, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months.
