PER COURT :- The petitioner claims to belong to Rajput Bhamta caste which is recognized as Vimukta Jatis (VJ) category and is in receipt of the caste certificate issued by the competent authority accordingly. The petitioner has been admitted to Engineering Degree course as against a seat reserved for VJ category. As a consequence of her failure to submit validation certificate, respondent No.3 has not declared the result of the second semester of first year - IT engineering examination. The caste certificate verification proposal submitted to respondent No.2 committee is pending disposal since 2014 and no decision has been arrived as yet.

{2} wp 10146.16.odt In the circumstances, this petition can be disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 committee to take decision on the caste certificate verification proposal of the petitioner, pending with the scrutiny committee, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of one year from today and it is accordingly directed.

Respondent No.3 university shall declare the result of the second semester, first year Engineering Examination of the petitioner forth with and if found eligible, the petitioner shall be permitted to prosecute further studies.
