The applicant is apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No. 266/2022 registered with Upnagar Police Station for the offences punishable under section 353, 354, 504, 506, 509 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code,1860. 2.

When the informant-lady police constable was on election duty the applicant alleged to have abused the informant and has uttered words thereby outraging the modesty of the informant.

Heard the learned advocate for the applicant and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent-State. Perused the investigation papers.

According to the applicant he is falsely implicated in the offence due to political rivalry in the village. 5.

The applicant was granted interim protection and he has scrupulously followed the conditions and has co-operated in the investigation. Nothing is to be recovered from the applicant. In that view of the matter, interim protection granted to the applicant deserves to be confirmed.

The application is allowed in terms of interim order dated 19th October, 2022.

Till filing of charge sheet, the applicant to attend the concerned police station as and when called by the investigating officer. The applicant shall not indulge in similar offence. The applicant shall not tamper the prosecution evidence. [NITIN B. SURYAWANSHI, J.] Bhagyawant Punde
