The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in August 2021 the proposal has been submitted for validation of the caste certificate. The petitioner is exploring the possibility of admission to the professional courses and seeks direction against the Committee to decide it before 24th of November 2021. The learned A.G.P. appears for respondent Nos. 1 and 2.

We cannot encourage the lethargy on the part of the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner had obtained the caste certificate in the year 2015 and moved for validation of the said certificate in August 2021. The petitioner was aware atleast 2 years back that he would explore the possibility of admission to the

WP No.12598/21 professional courses and still did not file the proposal for validation. At such late stage, we cannot issue positive direction to Committee to decide the validation proceeding of the petitioner within the stipulated period.

It is submitted that the vigilance is completed of the grandfather of the petitioner. The same can be considered in the present petition. It is for the Committee to consider the said aspect. 4.

The petitioner may appear before the Committee on the next working day. The Committee, if it is possible, may endeavour to decide the same expeditiously considering that the petitioner is exploring the possibility of admission to the professional course. 5.

Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
