By this application, the applicants-petitioners have proposed amendment to the petition in terms of paragraph nos.14-G to 14-M and prayer clause C-2 and C-3. Contention is that these proposed amendments are based on subsequent events and the introduction of an ordinance by the government, purportedly without following the due process of law.

The learned advocates and the learned AGP representing the non-applicants, opposed the application. In the alternative, they submit that if this Court is inclined to entertain the application, leave to file additional affdavit in reply to meet the amended portion of the petition, be granted.

In view of the above and for the reasons set out in the application, the same is allowed on the following conditions :- a) The amendment be carried out, on or before 07.01.2022. b) The freshly typed amended copy of the petition be filed on or before 14.01.2022 with copies to the colleague advocates. c) Additional affdavit in reply to meet the amended portion of the petition, be filed on or before 28.01.2022.

d) List this petition on 02.02.2022.
