PER COURT :- These petitions can be disposed of by issuing directions to the respondents No.1 and 2, to take decision on the applications, tendered by the petitioners under section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months from today and it is accordingly directed.

{3} If the Collector or the Land Acquisition Officer proceeds to uphold the entitlement of the petitioners to receive amount under section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, the acquiring body i.e. respondent No.3, shall pay the amount on the basis of such determination to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months, from the date of such decision.

Writ petitions are accordingly disposed of.
