There is an innocuous prayer in the petition inasmuch as a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Ahmednagar to take the decision on the written complaint filed by the petitioner on 28th September, 2016, is sought by the petitioner. In the circumstances, the Superintendent of Police, Ahmednagar is directed to take the decision on the said complaint, as expeditiously as possible; however, within a period of three weeks from today and communicate the said decision to the petitioner. We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. It is for the Superintendent of Police, Ahmednagar to decide the

criwp1301-2016 aforesaid complaint on its own merits. We also make it clear that if the said complaint has been already decided, the directions given hereinabove would not operate. The criminal writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
