The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that in all these matters, the settlement is arrived at before the Lok Adalat. As per the Government Resolution dated 17.12.2011, the respondents are required to deposit the compensation amount within six months. The same is not yet paid.

The learned Assistant Government Pleaders accept notice for all respondents.

If the settlement is arrived at by the State Government and its authorities, they are bound to honour settlement and make payment accordingly. In all these matters, the settlements have taken place prior to six months. The amount of compensation is not yet paid by the respondents.

In case there is no other impediment and the settlement arrived at before the Lok Adalat is in force, then, the respondents shall make payment to the petitioners as per the settlement arrived at before the Lok Adalat and in terms of the said settlement to the persons, who are parties to the settlement, preferably within four months.
