PER COURT :- The grievance of the petitioners in the instant petition is that in spite of tendering applications to the respondent No.2 claiming redetermination of amount of compensation u/s 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, the applications are kept pending and no steps are initiated since last four years.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, this petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent Nos. 1 and 2 i.e. The District Collector and the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Aurangabad to take decision on the pending applications presented by the petitioners u/s 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six

On determination of amount of compensation, if the petitioners are held entitled to receive enhanced amount, the respondent Nos. 1 to 3 are directed to disburse the amount in favour of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three months from such determination.
With the directions as above, writ petition stands disposed of.
