The petitioner's proposal is pending adjudication by the Scrutiny Committee at their mercy since the year 2013. Pertinently, vigilance enquiry was conducted and she had even submitted her response on 23 May 2018. In the earlier round in Writ Petition No. 3254/2020 by the order dated 26 February 2020, the Committee was directed to decide the petitioner's proposal within six months and still the petitioner is waiting for the decision of the Scrutiny Committee.

In spite of the petitioner having submitted a specific application incorporating all these things so as to bring to the notice of the members of the Committee the exigency, by way of successive applications filed on 26 August 2024 and 24 September

2024, the Committee members could not be persuaded to decide her proposal. This is highly unbecoming of the members of the Committee.

We dispose of the petition directing the Committee to pass the final order by Monday, else we would be constrained to impose costs on the individual members of the Committee to be paid from their own pockets.
