The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance committee has cancelled the caste certificate of the petitioner on the ground that the authority issuing caste certificate did not possess the territorial jurisdiction to issue the same.

The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner has filed application for grant of tribe certificate with the Sub Divisional Officer, Jalna on 14.08.2019, the same is not yet decided.

In case the application filed by the petitioner for issuance of tribe certificate (Page No. 39) is pending with respondent no. 4, then respondent no. 4 shall decide the same on its own merits, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two (02) months. The petitioner may appear before respondent no. 4 on 02.03.2020. 4.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
