This writ petition has been filed for a limited prayer, seeking a direction to respondent No. 2 - Caste Scrutiny Committee - to decide the caste claim of the petitioner, belonging to 'Naikda', Scheduled Tribe, which has been pending since 13/12/2024, as expeditiously as possible.

We, therefore, deem it proper to direct respondent No. 2 - Caste Scrutiny Committee - to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of two months from today.
