Heard the petitioner in person as also the learned Government Pleader.

By order dated 06.06.2022 in Writ Petition No. 13690 of 2021, this Court had directed respondent nos. 1 and 2 therein, who are respondent nos. 1 and 2 in this petition as well, to conclude the proceedings initiated on a report submitted by the Collector dated 31.05.2022 under Section 55B of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Pnachayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965 as expeditiously as possible.

The petitioner in person submits that in spite of these directions, the proceeding is not being decided. 4.

Learned Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that the matter is under active consideration and would be decided as expeditiously as possible and in any case within three months. 5.

The petition is disposed of by accepting the statement as an undertaking to the Court. Needless to state that in case of breach of the undertaking, it would be open for the petitioner to once again approach the court for contempt.
