By the order passed in writ petition No.1560/2017 dated 13.03.2018, wherein, the petitioner was claiming that in fact, more land was acquired than 13 Are and he was paid only compensation to that extent. The dispute is regarding the extent of land acquired for the purpose of National Highway. The respondent - Land Acquisition Officer was directed to consider the record, undertake a joint measurement and to decide the petitioner's grievance.

The learned advocate for the respondent - competent authority places before us a copy of the order passed on 22.02.2024, wherein, he has considered the petitioner's grievance and passed the order.

Needless to state that the petitioner would have his own remedies of objecting to and challenging this order. Since the decision has been taken pursuant to the direction of the Court, nothing survives. The contempt petition is disposed of.
