The petitioner is working as a Peon in the Gram Panchayat. He has put forth the prayer for quantifying arrears of his salary, living allowances and other benefits, which are not specified in the petition.

The petitioner is a "workman" under Section 2(s) and the Gram Panchayat is an "industry" under Section 2(j) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. As such, the petitioner has an efficacious statutory remedy of approaching the Industrial Court by filing the complaint under Item 9 of Schedule IV of the

Disputed issues of the nature as have been put forth, cannot be gone into by this Court.
