Heard Mr. Deshmukh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Girase, learned Government Pleader for the State.

It is seen that, this petition has been filed by the petitioner as if the petitioner is directly and personally involved in the issue relating to dispute about title and possession of the land, presently said to be illegally occupied by respondent No.5

Writ Petition No.506/2017 Society. The dispute is between the State of Maharashtra and others and the dispute relates to allotment of the land to the Society way back in 1965 and thereafter cancellation of the allotment in the year 1968, which cancellation has been disputed by the respondent No.5 Society. In these circumstances, this petition would not be maintainable.

The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of as not maintainable. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to seek appropriate remedy as may be available in law. ( S. B. SHUKRE ) JUDGE fmp/wp506.17
