We have heard the learned advocates for the petitioners in both the petitions, as also the learned A.G.P.

The petitions have been filed by the educational institute/society 1/2

927 WP 11340 OF 2024.odt through a person claiming to be the President of the Trust, seeking direction to the Education officer to consider the proposals forwarded by each of them for grant of approval to the appointment of the petitioner no. 2-Siraj Ahmed Mohammad Sayed in WP 11340/2024 and one Mr. Jahid Hussian Abdus Samad, mentioned in W.P. No. 11666/2024, as the headmasters. 3.

Parties are unanimous that it would be for the Education Officer to consider both the proposals simultaneously and take it to the logical end that would enable both of them to substantiate their proposals and oppose the other. It would be appropriate that the Education Officer decides the proposals once for all. As it is, pursuant to the observations of this Court in Writ Petition No. 10351/2024, dated 23.09.2024, the Education Officer, by the order dated 10.10.2024, has already made a provisional arrangement so as to process the salary bills.

In light of the above, we dispose of both these petitions with a direction to the respondent-Education Officer to decide both the proposals simultaneously on their own merits, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case within five weeks from today.

Pending Civil Application is disposed of.
