The petitioner claims to belong to Kunbi caste, which is included in Other Backward Class (OBC) category. The petitioner has been admitted to Engineering Course in Respondent No.4 College, as against a seat reserved for OBC category. The caste certificate verification proposal tendered by the petitioner is pending with Respondent No.2 Scrutiny Committee and as a result of failure of the petitioner to submit validity certificate, Respondent No.3 University has not yet declared result of the petitioner of the 4th semester examination of 2nd year Electrical Engineering course, held in May 2016.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, this

{2} wp1031916.odt petition can be disposed of by issuing direction to Respondent No.2 Committee to take decision on the caste certificate verification claim of the petitioner pending with the committee, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of one year from today; and it is accordingly directed. Respondent No.3 University shall declare result of the petitioner of 4th semester examination of 2nd year Electrical Engineering course held in May 2016 and if the petitioner is found eligible, permit him to appear for the next examination.

Writ Petition is disposed of.
