On earlier occasions, we had sought for the information from the respondents as to time within which they would take decision upon the proposal with regard to extension of age of retirement of Medical Officers (Health). On 11.7.2018 we had observed that if information is not received on the next date, we would be constrained to issue coercive orders against the concerned person.

Learned AGP makes a statement that he has instructions to state that the decision will be taken by the Government upon the proposal with regard to extension of age of Medical Officers (Health) within a period of four months from today.

We are adjourning the matter since many dates. The respondent/State shall take decision with regard to the proposal for extension of age of the Medical Officer (Health) within a period of two months from today. Needless to state, upon the decision being taken by the respondent/State, the Respondent Municipal Corporation would act accordingly.

Writ Petition is disposed. No costs. Civil Application also stands disposed of.
