The petitioner had fled an application for issuance of caste certifcate. The said application is rejected. The petitioner fled an appeal before the Scrutiny Committee in March, 2021. The same is pending.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the committee be directed to decide the appeal within four weeks as the certifcate will be required for contesting the elections.

Considering the fact that the appeal is pending since March, 2021, the committee would endeavor to decide the appeal preferably within four weeks.

Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
