We have considered the submissions of the learned Senior Advocate Mr.V.D.Hon along with Advocate Mr.V.B.Jadhav on behalf of the petitioner and the learned AGP.

The petitioner was regularly receiving the grants till 2018. Due to a financial crunch, the grants were not disbursed in 2019 by the State. Some grants were released pertaining to the academic year 2018-19. Presently, the representation along with a chart of the

13089.21WP pending grants, made by the petitioner dated 11.10.2021 addressed to respondent no.1 seeking release of grants, is pending.

It does appear that the State Government has a financial difficulty with regard to releasing grants of these hostels operated under the Social Justice Department and which are known as 'Kisan Student Hostel'.

We, therefore, expect that respondent no.1 to consider release of grants to the petitioner, depending upon the availability of funds and in the event of there being no other legal impediment. Keeping in view that the petitioner is operating the students Hostel for the children of farmers since 1992, that respondent no.1 would consider an early release of the grants so that these students do not suffer. 5.

This petition is disposed off.
