By this petition, the petitioner is seeking direction that the caste claim of the petitioner, which is pending before the respondent No.2 Caste Scrutiny Committee, be decided expeditiously.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is in service and apprehending coercive action, we direct the respondent No.2 Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of six months from the date of this order. Till the Caste Scrutiny Committee decides the caste claim of the petitioner, the respondent No.3 shall not take coercive action against the petitioner. We make it clear that the protection granted by this order is till the decision which shall be rendered by the Caste Scrutiny Committee. 4.

Writ Petition stands disposed of.
