The petitioners claimed to have belonged to 'Thakur' Scheduled Tribe. Their tribe certificates have been invalidated by the respondent/Scrutiny Committee. They are therefore before us. 3.

The petitioners rely on the validity certificates directed by this Court to be granted in favour of petitioners in Writ Petition 8166 of 2020 and Writ Petition No.7433 of 2024. One of those petitioners is real sister of petitioner no.2 herein, while another is the cousin. As such, the blood relations hold the validity certificates pursuant to the orders passed by this Court. In such circumstances, though the learned AGP may have reservation to allow the petition, the only course available for us is to follow the suit. 4.

We, therefore, pass the following order :

ORDER

(i) Writ Petition is partly allowed.

(ii) The impugned judgment and order dated 15.09.2025 passed by the respondent/Scrutiny Committee is quashed and set aside. (iii) The respondent/Scrutiny Committee shall issue validity certificates of 'Thakur' Scheduled Tribe to the petitioners forthwith. The same shall be subject to the outcome of re-verification proposed by the Scrutiny Committee.

(iv) The petitioners shall not claim equities.
